Seattle Mariners Week 2 Review ⚾️

The Seattle Mariners are still in first place.

Yes, I’m aware there’s still a lot of season left. That said, I’m still enjoying this.

The M’s started the week by taking both games from the Angels. For the first time this year, the bats cooled off for game two of the series, yet Seattle’s pitching stayed strong earning a 2-1 win.

After an unexpected extra day off when rain hit Chicago on Thursday, the M’s took two of three from the ChiSox. The only loss came after they still scored eight runs in the opening game. M’s pitching matched the hitting in the final two games for a pair of convincing wins.

Entering today, Seattle has four of the top ten AL leaders in RBIs (Santana, Beckham, Healy, Bruce) with Santana leading the AL with 15. The Mariners begin a four game set in Kansas City (where I’ll be on Thursday) before ending the week back home at T-Mobile Park for three games with Houston.

Felix Hernandez takes the mound tonight in KC. Happy Felix Day everybody!
